Hey people. I'm new here. I'm trying to compose an Oasis-sounding rock song that requires abrasive, heavy-hitting drums.

Would a set of timpanis be a good substitute for tom-toms? I mean- something like these-

Could I use those instead of an actual drumset? Would that be a good idea?

What do you guys think?
